What helped me the most was having teachers and an author to help polish my writing. It was fun to write my own story and illustrate it my way.

Thank you for coming to our assembly. It really made me think how other people think of each other and about me. I invited my cousin. He has really tried to see things from my point of view. I don't know how he does it, but he does.

My book

When someone asks me about my book, I say it is mostly about my dad. I had fun writing it and couldn't have done it without my teacher, Ann Parr, and my mother.

I think that the project was fun and was a good experience. It feels good to be an author and know that I have accomplished writing a book!

Thank you for coming to our school to give a speech for us sixth graders. I think it taught us all a good lesson. I invited my mom because she takes my friends and me everywhere, and I love her a lot. Thank you, Mrs. Parr.

Thank you for spending your time to visit us and talk about Gordon Parks. I learned that he looked like his dad. And his mom said what a white boy can do you can do with no excuses. I thought it was interesting to learn about someone I don't know. And some one who visited him. The most interesting part to me was his childhood.
